As a mostly independent, I can say that the dems have had a great history of screwing shit up, so there is plenty of REAL stuff to call them on. This tactic is just weak, but it plays on one area (national security) that some still see them as doing well in. It is unfortunate that people belive this stuff.

That being said, I would like to reference back to a previous topic, the DC gun case, to point out that some Dems (hizzoner Daley of Chicago) are predicting blood in the streets because of that Supreme Ct. ruling. I am pleased that Obama hasn't jumped on the moron express.

Have to love the whistle call to evangelicals by dragging in the apocalypse.

I have to disagree here. I see that as just an attempt at being clever, hardly subtle at all.

My biggest fear is that even getting some Dems in power in the Executive and Legislative branches is too little too late.

My biggest fear is, to quote the Who, "Meet the new boss, same as the old boss." While there are some differences, both parties seem comfortable with power and I don't see either pushing for some kind of broad restraint. I am scared that the Dems will just take liberty from some other area. I hope I am wrong. At worst, a sound thrashing of the Republicans may remove the neocons and replace them with something like a real conservative.steveshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08862590608695420004noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14594994.post-59551952577776702252008-07-10T08:25:00.000-05:002008-07-10T08:25:00.000-05:00Hey, perhaps we should all switch our allegiance t...Hey, perhaps we should all switch our allegiance to the GOP. Those 23% are too far gone to save at this point, so we'll just cut our losses. If even the SCOTUS is saying the WH was wrong, and their Chief Justice is a Bush appointee, then truly, people are starting to reject the fearmongering from the WH.

McSame, however, seems to have missed this memo and is plugging merrily along as is, apparently, the RNC, based on this letter.
