I would guess that it was innocent. My wife has taught 1st through 3rd grade and kids say and write sone pretty funny things. In most cases, they are repeating something they heard and don't fully understand.
Case in point....While looking for a more evasive kid last year, I walked into the foyer and to a group of students said, "Hey is Nick in here? I can't find him and he is..."
Trying to think of "dodgey" or "slippery" ..."Elusive" even.
When another student finishes the sentence for me, "....a douche bag?"
