Happy Beer Day!!!

Monday, April 07, 2008

I thought I knew all of the important beer-related holidays and celebrations: St. Patricks Day, Oktoberfest, Wednesday...

But there is another one. A big one.

Happy Beer Day, everyone!

Ah, B Mac beat me to the punch.

Today is a day to celebrate. And I will celebrate it this evening with a bottle of my personbal favorite: Founders Breakfast Stout.

Happy Repeal Day!

What a perfect day for me to decide to keg my Brown Ale. On this day in 1933 American got it's beer back. On this day in 2008, Colin got HIS beer back (on tap). =)

Maybe you should name it "1933 Brown Ale" or somethig else to commemorate the occasion.

I'm holding out for the bigger party December 5th. (okay, not by choice, I have a lot of catching up to do...)

Bob 2:00 PM

Mrs. Smitty is going to come out with her own beer that will only be available in 22+ oz bottles in twin-packs

B Mac 2:42 PM

More like the 64-ounce jumbo beers they sell at Joe Louis Arena...

George 3:56 PM

I don't know, if you live right every day is Beer Day, no?

(recognizing the Mrs. Smitty pregnant with twins caveat, of course)

Rickey 3:12 PM

Damit, Rickey missed it and forgot to drink. This means Rickey should drink twice his normal ammount of MGD tonight, yes?

Mike 6:31 AM

MDG???

Isn't that one of the 7 dirty words here at Around The Keg

I suspect Coors Light is the C-word.

Sopor 3:07 PM

Ok, I got the Brown into a keg, and it's pretty darned tasty!
You can check it out here

Only problem is, I can't think of a good way to work Repeal or something into a beer name... Any more ideas guys?
