A literal take on Take on Me

This was a great song back in the day and the video was pretty edgy for 1986.   I like this take.  Yeah, they were kind of whiny, but since I have ancestors from Norway, there aren't a whole lot of other Norwegian bands to follow.  They were pretty big for a time and even scored the theme for the James Bond movie, The Living Daylights.  Unfortuantely, they faded pretty fast and were never able to follow up on their early success.

Funny shit!! This video has always seemed weird to me. Ya know, she still never paid for the damned coffee...

I've always liked "Take On Me", but I like Reel Big Fish's cover better! The song was featured in the movie BASEketball so of course the video is chock-full of footage from the movie. I don't really care about the video... this has got to be one of the greatest Ska/Punk covers of ALL TIME!!

And while I'm on the subject of great Ska/Punk covers, the ambitious (or crazy) among us should also check out Goldfinger's cover of Nena's "99 Red Balloons".

Ever see the "Family Guy" Version of the video? That's pretty funny.

Nice find. I giggled for a long time.
